Crankcase Ventilation
In any internal combustion engine, gases from the combustion of fuel leak past the piston rings – often referred to as blow-By. Blow-by ends up inside the crankcase, causing pressure build up which inevitably needs to be released, either back into the engine or out to the environment. Not only is this a cause of emissions, it leaves an oily film on all engine components. A properly installed crankcase ventilation system removes any hydrocarbon from the blow-by, and drastically reduces the overall emissions of an engine.
The only routine maintenance required for most crankcase ventilation system is filter replacement. Typical service list of a high-performance filter in diesel applications is 750 hours, and exact filter replacement timing can be determined with the presence of a bypass indicator on the assembly. All of our crankcase ventilation filters are matched to their original assemblies for fit and flow-rate.
RANGE OF SPECIFICATIONS
Assembly Configuration:
Open – captures oil from blow-by, and channels exhaust to the environment. Only suited for allow open crankcase venting.
Closed – captures oil from blow-by, and channels exhaust back to the intake air line for re-circulation to the engine. Almost zero emissions, and much more common.

Inlet/Outlet Port Size: Ranging from 1 3/16” – 1 7/8”, inlet on either side of housing
