Designed to remove oil aerosols from the compressed air system after air compression in rotary screw, vane style and refrigeration compressors, a properly designed and matched air/oil separator is another critical component to a well-functioning system. Oil vapours escape from the compressor engine into the air line, and can cause significant degradation to downstream parts. A properly specified air-oil separator captures these extraneous vapours in the filter media, allowing only clean air to pass.
